A group of Aussies were enjoying an otherwise ordinary beach day—remember, it’s almost summer over there–when they got a surprise visit from a kangaroo, NBC News reports. Out of nowhere, a wild kangaroo started hopping along One Mile Beach in New South Wales.
People were obviously intrigued by the creature, but they weren’t too scared. After all, this is Australia, where kangaroos are basically just people. A lifeguard hung around to make sure everyone was okay, but the kangaroo seemed very friendly. He wasn’t there to hurt anyone. He was there to work on his tan.
