For most Star Wars fans, the second teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the highlight of their week. But one Star Wars fan is more excited about the letter he received from Lucasfilm.
Colin Gilpatric and his mother Peggy wrote a letter to the film company saying he wants to become a Jedi Knight, but “I want to get married without becoming a Sith. Please change the rule.”
Lucasfilm said yes, in the voice of a Jedi. Here’s the full response:
The letter was cited in a New York Times article to show how Lucasfilm takes the time to personalize letters as part of a larger story about how the studio engages with fans, from the biennial gathering “Star Wars Celebration” to promoting exclusive information on its social networks.
